Why This Matters
- Hospital admissions for PQI conditions are potentially avoidable, in part, through outpatient care and disease health management. High rates of these preventable hospitalizations may indicate potential problems in these areas. (more...)

- This report displays three-year summary data. Map colors are based on quintile groups: highest, higher, middle, lower, and lowest. The lower the count, rate, or charge metric, the better. (more...)
- PQI #2 (ruptured appendix) rates are calculated using the # of appendicitis cases as the denominator (instead of population). This is different from all other PQIs.
